Chandler-Tullamore Sister Cities will be hosting its Tenth Annual Southwest Tea on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at the Cotton Room at Tumbleweed Recreation Center, Chandler.
We will be “piped in” by Master Piper Len Wood. Award-winning Cuisine & Wine, Chandler, are preparing a delicious meal for us! Our TableToppers will have put their unique design on their table settings - always festive!
Our featured speaker will be Matty Steinkamp, local Indie filmmaker, who traveled Ireland this past summer and explored the whiskey distilleries of the island. He is bringing us a short film of his extended “Immersion Ireland” film - featuring our sister city and the new Tullamore Dew Distillery! For those of you who have visited Tullamore, you will recognize local sites and enjoy the interviews with townspeople you will have met!
In addition, Laurie Fagen, local author and artist, will unveil our next Cultural Program with our Sister City - a project which will be an outreach to both the Tullamore and Chandler communities. Stephen “Coach” Carson will launch our third Student Ambassador Program for the summer of 2023. We will also be promoting the 2022-23 Young Artists & Authors Showcase - theme, entry information, etc., sponsored by Sister Cities International. Plus - live entertainment and our great Chance Baskets!
Please follow the two-step registration process carefully, first the registration form then payment options.
We always enjoy a wonderful response from the local businesses and the public with gifts of donations and sponsorships for our primary fundraising event for Chandler-Tullamore Sister Cities. As we receive donations, the donors are recognized below. Our donors will also be recognized in our Event Program and on our Facebook, ChandlerIrish. The Chandler community has always been generous in its support of the Sister Cities’ student ambassador program, Irish arts and culture!
All proceeds will benefit our projects, most notably our Student Ambassador Program, our Arts and Cultural projects, the Sister Cities International Young Artists and Authors Program, and hosting our Tullamore visitors - which economically benefits the City of Chandler, and more. Thank you again for your kind and vital support of Irish Culture and our Student Ambassador Program in Chandler!
